1. Reservations

Reservation agreements and changes thereto regarding performances by the Hotel Alpenblick only become binding for the hotel once they have been confirmed or reconfirmed in writing by the hotel and the customer. The specific services depend on what has been confirmed in the reservation.

2. Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs and include service charge and VAT. The prices in euros are approximate values. The latest daily exchange rates apply to foreign currencies.
In addition to cash payment, we gladly accept EC-Direct, Postcard, Visa, Eurocard and Amexco, as well as Swiss Rekaschecks.

3. Arrival/Departure

Unless agreed otherwise, rooms are available from 14.00 on the day of arrival. They must be vacated by 11.00 am at the latest on the day of departure. Rooms are allocated by availability within the confirmed category.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations up to 2 days before arrival (18:00) are free of charge. Later cancellations or no-shows are subject to a fee and will be charged with the total amount of the booking.  
Guests are responsible for making their own way to the hotel. No refunds are given in the event of late arrival due to disturbances or delays in public and private transport (including railways and flights) etc or for personal reasons. The entire sum is charged in the event of premature departure.

No cancellation costs are charged if the reserved room can be re-let. In this case, a processing fee of CHF 100.00 per room is charged.

We recommend that guests take out travel/cancellation insurance.

5. Pets

We are pleased to welcome your pets, but not in the dining room, hotel bar or wellness area. We charge CHF 15.00 per pet and night (without food) for the special cleaning of the room. We reserve the right to charge you for any damage caused by your pets.

6. Smoking

Our hotel is a smoke-free business in compliance with the Health Act of 14 Feb. 2008. We therefore request that you do not smoke anywhere inside the building, including your room. Ashtrays are available for your use on the patio and balconies. We would like to point out that non-compliance with the smoking ban is an offence. Should it not be possible to re-let your room due to non-compliance with the smoking ban, we reserve the right to charge you for any additional cleaning costs plus loss of earnings.

7. Liability of the Hotel

The hotel is liable for damage incurred by guests to the extent covered by legal provisions. Liability for the carelessness or negligence of guests is expressly excluded. Should guests suffer any damage or be dissatisfied with the performances of the hotel, they must notify the hotel of this without delay, within 24 hours at the latest, otherwise they can no longer assert any rights. If the hotel does not provide the agreed room(s), it is liable towards the guest for any damage incurred to the extent that such damage can be proven. If the hotel is unable to provide the reserved room(s) on arrival, it will organize alternative accommodation of the same standard and pay any additional costs incurred for transport, accommodation etc which are in excess of the prices originally agreed. All claims against the hotel lapse 30 days after departure in all cases, unless the peremptory legal provisions stipulate a longer deadline.

8. Final Provisions

These General Terms and Conditions have been drawn up in German, English, French and Italian. In the event of any contradictions, only the German version will be considered valid. All changes or supplements to the agreement or confirmation of reservation must always be made in writing. Unilateral changes or supplements are invalid.
By signing the agreement/ confirmation of reservation or making a unilateral confirmation of a booking, you indicate your acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.

This agreement is subject to Swiss law only.
The sole place of jurisdiction for all differences arising from this agreement is the township of Visp VS.
